I had a spot on my lip that I couldn’t feel
Because I had won the struggle before
It wasn’t good or bad – it just felt bizarre
And maybe a little bit sore.
I have a spot in my chest that never feels whole
Because I have lost the struggle each day
It’s empty and painful – it just feels like nothing
And it has yet to go away.
